Our Speaker and Main Presentation
David Clarke is the coordinator of Training and Communications for Durham Mental Health Services (DMHS), an accredited not-for-profit agency offering free and confidential mental health services in Durham. He is an experienced speaker, who has previously provided workshops to Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada classes in Whitby (Gifford Street) and Ajax (Ajax Welcome Centre).
During his presentation for us, he will address issues of mental health in the workplace, touching on the following topics:
Following the presentation, we will also be holding small breakout group discussions in addition to our annual AGM and elections.

- mental illness and stigma;
- ways in which organizations can promote positive mental health;
- how to support an emotionally distressed person; and,
- services available through DMHS in our Region.
Following the presentation, we will also be holding small breakout group discussions in addition to our annual AGM and elections.
